MOUNTAIN HARVEST POTTERY
Bringing nature indoors
Let me start by introducing myself. My name is Kasey and I am a full-time art teacher and part-time potter. I fell in love with ceramics in college and wanted to pursue it on the side. I have been a potter for almost a decade currently working with small batch pottery.

Mountain Harvest Pottery originally went through many names. I've always loved autumn, and the mountains are my favorite vacation destination. After time went on, I settled on Mountain Harvest Pottery.

My pots are often inspired by these motifs. I love to try new ideas and sometimes product will cycle in and out. I enjoy making barrel mugs, which remind me of being in a log cabin at Blue Ridge. My other painted mugs more align with my harvest theme. Whether it be fruits, vegetables, or flowers, I enjoy painting on my pots.

So here I am, combining my two loves; painting and pottery. I hope you love and cherish your pot, just as much as I loved and cherished making it.

I am currently studying under Cary Pottery's master potter, Kenneth Neilson. He and his wife Glenda have graciously let me into their store and given me access to their clay and glazes. Please check them out on facebook or visit their beautiful shop!
